Il documentario, prodotto da Rai2 e Rai Documentari, ripercorre tutta l’impresa della leggendaria imbarcazione italiana, dal 1997, anno del varo, al momento in cui il team Luna Rossa Prada Pirelli, aggiudicandosi la PRADA Cup, si è qualificata come Challenger della 36^ America's Cup presented by PRADA, per la seconda volta nella storia. Moltissime riprese sono state fatte ad Auckland, dove la presenza della squadra italiana è stata importante per molti membri della comunità italiana locale.

The documentary, produced by Rai2 and Rai Documentari, traces the full epic story of the legendary Italian boat, from 1997, the year of the first launch, to the moment in which Luna Rossa, winning the PRADA Cup, qualified as Challenger of the 36th America's Cup presented by PRADA, for the second time in history. A lot of shots were taken in Auckland, where the presence of the Italian team had been important for many members of the local Italian community.
