Article about Massimiliano “Max” Sirena, the two-time America’s Cup winner, and team director and skipper of Luna Rossa Prada Pirelli Team for 2021 Cup challenge. With team Luna Rossa he has participated in the challenges of 2000, winning the Louis Vuitton Cup, 2003 and 2007 in the role of mid-bowman. He took on the role of Skipper and Team Director for Luna Rossa during the 34th America’s Cup campaign held in San Francisco in 2013. Sirena also spent 18 months working for the Kiwi team, Emirates Team New Zealand, as technical advisor in their successful acquisition of the 2017 America’s Cup. In the article he talks fondly about New Zealand, where is well known, adding that one day he may live here for good.
