Article in the magazine of the Canterbury Migrants Centre The Migrant Times about Maria Fresia. Maria arrived in Christchurch in November 1988, with her husband, a New Zealander. She is a member of the Dante Alighieri Society of Christchurch and works as a teacher and interpreter. In the article she explains the challenges she met moving to Christchurch, her work as a Montessori teacher and teacher of Italian language for the Canterbury University Continuing Education Programme, the 2010 earthquakes, and the arrival in New Zealand of her twin sister Sandra, who lives in Auckland.
