Actor, director and playwright Paolo Rotondo, 49, and his wife, Renee Mark, 47, run Cinema Italiano: The Italian Film Festival, screening nationwide from now. Paolo and Renee (Ngāti Tahu) live in Hawke’s Bay with their 11-year-old daughter, Sofia, and 10-year-old-son Dario.
Paolo and Renee meet while filming a documentary about the Italian immigrant community, in a series called Here To Stay. In this interview they also talk about the beautiful symbiosis between Māori and Italian culture.
