Translation:
Caprera, 20 June 1878
My Dear Adams, Thank you for the precious images of Sydney, and for your kind letter. Always yours G. Garibaldi
At a first look it appears that the message and the signature may be from two different hands, with the letter written under dictation and then signed by Garibaldi.
